Cal+

Market leading Broodmare and young horse supplement. The Best In Class nutritional
supplement for Broodmares, yearlings and foals. Used by a rapidly growing majority
of the very top breeders in Europe and the U.K. Unrivaled analysis. Supports and maintains optimum bone development and conformation in the growing foetus. Helps produce strong, robust foals ready to fulfill an active and athletic life to
their maximum ability.

Nutritional advantages

A healthier intestine and enhances peristaltic movement stimulation. Ingredients are proven in scientific trials to increase digestion of nutrients meaning you can feed less.

Environmental advantage

Reduced emission of nitrogen-based substances to the environment

Stronger bone and less bone related issues

It has been clinically proven to increase plasma and milk silicon concentration and subsequently increase plasma silicon concentration in foals. Thereby improving bone tissue quality of foals and helping to prevent skeletal disorders. Increases plasma silicon concentration in blood and increases RBAE values (radiographic aluminium equivalents) = prevention of race training injuries in weanling horses.

Cal + contains Vitamin D3 which is essential to the horse’s ability to absorb calcium and phosphorus.

Cal + contains Vitamin K3 which all research shows is essential for bone
metabolism.

Significant research in Japan has shown that the most effective way to supplement horses with vitamin K is in the form of K3, or menadione. The most potent analogue for bone formation is menaquinone-4 (K2-4), which is formed when K3 is metabolized in the liver.

All recent research has shown that both are scientifically proven to be necessary for a horse’s ability to absorb calcium and phosphorus and for bone metabolism.

Boosting immunity and fertility

Increases phagocytic activity and the content of lysozyme in the blood, thus promoting destruction of pathogens. Lysozyme is a 14 kDa protein present in mucosal secretions and it plays an important role in the innate immunity, providing protection against bacteria, viruses and fungi.

Better digestion of nutrients and a healthy digestive tract.

Stabilizes the pH of the digestive tract.

The surface of our binding agent is negatively charged and during the digestion process in the gut it selectively binds positively charged small elements and molecules for which it has a strong anity. This means selective binding to ammonia ions, heavy metal ions, metabolite products from the digestion process such as hydrogen sulphide, carbon dioxide and mycotoxins.

Our binding agent prolongs the process of digesting food thereby maximising
the resorption of nutrients while entrapping and excreting the undesirable toxins
through the faeces. This process is caused by the ion-exchange properties of our
binding agent.

Cal + helps to support the animal’s natural detoxication process, boost their
energy and immune system, thereby improving their health and performance.

Our binding agent reduces the release of ammonia in the animal gut thus reducing odour of the stable area.

Other important points

Cal + contains Iodine which is regarded as one of the most critical dietary trace
elements. This is due to the important role that it plays in the thyroid metabolism
and in the synthesis of thyroid hormones triiodothyronine and thyrxine. These
hormones fill multiple functions from cell regulation to tissue differentiation and
growth.

Cal + containing 150 mg of copper per 140 gm dose meaning that no additional
copper supplementation is required.

Cal + contains Vitamin A which is essential in the horse for reproductive functions
and the immune system.

  • Contains high levels of organic copper, manganese & zinc for easy absorption.
  • Helps increase plasma and milk silicon concentration.
  • Helps increase plasma silicon concentration in foals.
  • Helps improve bone tissue quality.
  • Supports skeletal development.
  • Aids reproductive function.
  • Helps boost the immune system.
  • Easy absorption of calcium & phosphorous.
